Inkwell - Japanese Persimmon Shape with Brass Leaf

INKWELL Japanese Persimmon

This unique piece is most likely late 19th Century-early 20th Century. 
The persimmon sits on a molded brass leaf.  
Its brass top is in the shape of the persimmon leaf which is covered 
with a copper leaf and a brass snail. It's in excellent condition and has a glass insert. 
The inkwell is 2" in diameter and is 2 1/2 " high. The leaf upon which it sits is 4" long and 2 " wide.
